erm... Ollie has learnt to fib!!

This morning I could smell an AWFUL, very obviously poop smell... so I asked Ollie "have you done a poo-poo?" to which he replied "no-no" and shook his head. James then asked in his firm, man voice "Ollie have you pooed?"... to which Ollie nodded his head!!! WTF? Why has Ollie learnt to tell fibs to mummy, but to tell daddy the truth!? *sigh*

  2. Lucky times! Lying about pooing is slightly different to any other attempts to tell porkies. I don't know why, but there is some kind of denial going on when it comes to the mass of disgustingness in a nappy!

I love your blog header! I just popped over via SITS.

  5. My son is about the same age and he is learning to do the same thing. It's just something inherent in them I guess. Maybe just testing us.

  6. Ah yes, it starts of small enough (depending on the size of the poo) then goes on to, I didn't hit Johnny Mom!, to then, no, I don't have a boyfriend...and then maybe, I don't know how I got pregnant! Wait...is this Maury Povich's blog?

  8. my niece is quite the opposite. she insists on having her nappy changed even when she hasn't pooped. she even crawls and gets the diaper and talcum so that her mom is forced to get up and change an already clean diaper =)

stopping by from SITS...have a great day.

  9. Just wait until he starts negociating with you!

I love the list of words you have going down the side of your blog, what a great idea! I have a 19mo so I'm looking over your list to remind myself if there are more things she is saying that I forgotten about :)

  10. My little man hasn't started talking yet. But my daughter who's 6 told us a whopper one day and I knew something was up so I asked her again and again till she spilled. In the end it wasn't a big deal, I was more upset that she lied about it.

  11. Hello from SITS. It's funny isn't it how early we develop hang-ups about the poop.

And also how quickly our tots realise how to take advantage of either parent, depending on mood and situation.

Was discussing on another blog about the lies we tell our kids - will post on that soon!
